20 Resources That Will Make You More Efficient With Item Upgrading

Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The best way to upgrade your equipment in Path of Exile is through upgrading your items. This lets you improve it without having to rely on expensive drops or trades. This article will show you how to upp your items efficiently.

Upgrades to equipment give a bonus on the item's stats. The bonus increases with upgrade component level and rarity.

Components

Upgrade components make your armour and weapons stronger. You can get them from fighting off enemies, locating them in item spheres, or buying them from karma merchants. They can also be salvaged from equipment with them, or by utilizing an advanced salvage kit such as the Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components are not destroyed when you remove them from the item.

Upgrade components are mostly used to improve an item but they can also be used for other reasons. They can be stacked in order to boost the level or the amount of experience gained by upgrading weapons or gear. They can be made for extra bonuses. A glyph that has been crafted can increase the upgrade chances of its target, and boost upgrades increase the attack or defense attributes of the weapon.

You can attach an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. It will display an upgrade component list that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench to selecting an upgrade template. In either scenario, an item will be upgraded when enough upgrade components have been collected.

Each component has a different experience multiplier, which determines how much more experience an item will gain when it upgrades with that component. For instance, organic components give an experience multiplier that is higher than mechanical ones. It is recommended to upgrade your organic components first until you reach the next level in the weapon or equipment then switch to mechanical upgrades.

Each item comes with an upgrade maximum number that is available for. The number of items that are upgradeable is determined by their upgradeable rank and the kind of upgrade they can get. For instance, the highest possible upgrade for a weapon is a weapon with tier 10. However, the most commonly used weapon upgrades are an tier 6 weapon as well as a tier 5 armor upgrade.

Sets

A set is a group of items which share a bonus. Each item in the set can be upgraded at least once, and the upgrade increases the amount of bonuses that are guaranteed. The first time you upgrade a set piece or weapon is that it will be given a +1 increase to its primary stat. Following upgrades, the primary stats are increased even more (for instance the +1 bonus for 12+/13+/14+) and every time an item is upgraded one of its additional stats is increased randomly.

Upgrades can also increase the base damage of a weapon. This can be crucial for certain builds. However, weapons can't be upgraded to have a higher defense base than their base. It is possible to increase the value of specific sets and unique items by upgrading them, however they may not always be better than a Runeword with a high level.

If the item you're upgrading has a guarantee bonus it is able to be rerolled once, and then its guarantee will reset to 0. The same power dies are used to reroll an item, just as it is used to upgrade it. However, the new item has different bonuses. Upgrades can be made at the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll need a power die of each kind (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; dice 7 drops from bosses) and the appropriate amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be purchased with Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. The NPC will also provide a special reward for each tier of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled a second time, and the reroll will be made using the same materials as the first item.

Rerolling

A player can play rerolling any item that they acquire during the game, provided they have enough reroll tokens to be able to do so. If an item is rerolled, it will be replaced by the same level in another set. Reroll tokens are sold at the store for a small amount of in-game currency. They are not refundable. The new upgraded item will still have the extra bonuses of the original one however, its stats will be different as well.

Players can change the identity of their equipment as well as changing it's roll by interfacing with a NPC upgrader. This will change the identity from a weapon to armor or vice versa, all the while keeping its basic stats and attributes that are required. The change is permanent and will affect all characters who are wearing the gear.

The player can also upgrade their level of an item for any equipped equipment. This is done by engaging with an upgrader NPC and obtaining upgrade items. This will cost a certain amount of crests and Valorstones depending on the upgrade track and item type. Each upgrade will add an additional 5% of damage to weapons.

Upgrading an item will make it more powerful however, it can reduce its effectiveness. Therefore, it is crucial to balance the two. Some items are not worth upgrading, while others require upgrades to maximize their potential. For instance, a player might decide to upgrade a piece of breakpoint armor with an interesting modifier (% chance to block or FHR) to see what it can become.

Rerolling is a common practice in Genshin Impact and other gacha-based games. People use it to try to obtain a character or weapon they would not otherwise be able to acquire. These items can be costly and time-consuming to obtain, and the RNG does not always work in a positive way. The only other options are to invest money or grind for a long time. This is why rerolling is a very popular option in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

You can decide to upgrade the weapon or armor when upgrading an item. This feature is not available in the current version of the game. I believe it was designed to to give some value to rare items, but because equipment generally drops quickly and is only upgraded once you've reached a certain level, you'll usually replace the item before it gets too old. It's not worth upgrading items with gem sockets, as the power of the stone will outweigh any increase in the ilvl.

When  item upgrades  click the upgrade button on an item, you will be presented with a small window displaying the upgrade template of the item as well as the cost of crest and Valorstone to increase the level of the item. The costs will vary between armor and weapons, with the former usually costing more than the latter. The upgrade template lists the stats that will be added to the upgraded item. It it also lists the current ilvl.

The cost of the Valorstone and crest is calculated using the item's current Ilvl and the upgrade templates. In addition the ilvl of a new upgraded item will be decreased by the template's lvl decrease percentage. For instance the weapon that has an 8% upgrade decrease will reduce its count by 8-8 percent.

In addition to the increase in ilvl base it will also receive upgrades in other stats such as critical strike damage, damage from PvE and block, parry and dodge rating. These enhancements are also based on the upgrade template.

The amount of damage and defense that the item receives when leveled up can be observed below the upgrade cost and decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. Aside from practice equipment, all other armor and weapons gain the same stats when they are leveled up. The value of these additional stats will be dictated by the market, with a perfectly rolled perfect version of a piece of armor or weapon able to command much more in trade value than unupp'd versions. The same is true for other armor pieces like circlets and tiaras.
